About Chris

Chris  grew up in rural North Wales; a native Welsh speaker; exploring the hills, woodlands and waterways around the Berwyn mountains and Snowdonia National Park. Now living in the Cotswolds, he has a passion for both pushing his mind and body through adventurous exercise, and using these experiences to motivate and encourage others to pursue their own fitness-based challenges and goals.

Exercise, fitness, and the ability to perform at your individual best, Chris believes is a far more holistic process than the traditional repetitive sets and reps in the gym or prescribed exercise methodology of the last few decades. He’s passionate about encouraging and educating around a more comprehensive functional approach to fitness, better enabling anyone to achieve their goals. This has led Chris to research and study subjects around functional fitness, running technique, nutrition, performance psychology and coaching methods, often experimenting on and using himself to test theories and ideas.

He’s trained his body and mind to be able to pursue regional level rugby, martial arts, trail and ultra-running and multisport races, as well as military basic training through to elite military selection. He now uses this learning experience and passion for the outdoors, to challenge himself by planning adventure challenges that test all his physical and mental ability.

With similar lifestyle commitments to most; a demanding job with a long commute, an amazing son and daily responsibilities; Chris conjures up challenges that are real feats of fitness and strength of mind, that fit alongside the real World we all live in. He pushes his mind and body, continuing his learning, scratching his adventurous itch, hopefully inspiring and motivating others as well as raising money and publicity for some great causes along the way.
